Author Biography
About Me
My name is Laura Pfalz (pronounced "falls",
the P is silent), and I was born on May 16, 1983
in Cincinnati, Ohio. I moved to Florida in
1986, and still live there today. I always
had a vivid imagination, and I would create
characters and stories every chance I got, even
at a very young age. I began writing down my
imaginings at the age of 12, but didn't write my
first novel until the age of 13. Ever since, I've
had a love of writing, and have written over 20
novels since then. I'm continuing to write
new novels, while also editing my early works for
publication.
Personal Quotes
On Writing:
"I know I am not the best writer in the
world, and I've never and will never claim to be.
I am just a storyteller, sharing thoughts
that in some semblance of order make sense."
"I write from the heart. I don't use a
lot of big words or drone on and on or write
what's 'in style' just to turn a profit.
What you see is what you get. If
nothing else, my writing is honest."
Random thoughts:
"I feel I have never lived in this world;
I've only passed through it."
"Sometimes I want to dive into the scariest,
strangest part of my insanity...and hope I don't
drown."
"The problem with sanity is you don't know
you're losing it, until it's gone."
What I'm Up To
This section is to let you know what I'm
watching, listening to, playing, reading, and
writing. I'll try to update this regularly.
May 30, 2007
I've been watching... Stephen
King's Kingdom Hospital on DVD. I'm
hopeless addicted to this series.
I've been listening to...
Highway Companion by Tom Petty, Sam's Town by The
Killers, and Bucky Covington's self-titled CD.
Love 'em all.
I've been playing... Brain Age
(mostly the Sudoku portion) on Nintendo DS, and
Jeopardy on Playstation.
I've been reading... The
Journals of Eleanor Druse: My Investigation of
the Kingdom Hospital Incident. (Have I
mentioned that I'm hopeless addicted?)
I've been writing... several
novels. I hate to even mention titles as their
publishing dates are so far off, but what the
hell. A few are: Living To Die, Obituaries, and
Land of the Damned. I'm sensing a theme
here. I'm also going to start the editing work on
my next publication, as soon as I figure out
which one that is.
